( Male, 54, Cardiac treatment – valve closure) |
| We would like to thank you
for the excellent service offered by you from the time of
our first contact at the beginning of January through to organising
our flights to Goa.
It is still hard for us to realise that it was less than three
weeks from our first e-mail to you right through to having
the procedure carried out....superb.
The treatment we received in all areas while in India was
excellent and we will have no hesitation in recommending Aarex
and Wockardt to anyone who cares to listen.
The extra services offered by Aarex certainly made our stay
so much more enjoyable. Helping make the arrangements for
our trip to Goa, for example, would have been difficult for
us.
Best Wishes
John Connell |

Ms Helene Eichers
( Female, 61, Cardiac treatment ( angioplasty) Vascular Surgery
) |
| I am a citizen of Luxembourg
working with the embassy of Belgium in Tanzania.
Today I am writing to you about my experience
of medical treatment in India.
I have been a very heavy smoker for - I think
- about 40 years without any problems until end of December
2003. First, I was hit by light stroke, and I had to do a
lot of examinations and tests ( CT-Scan - dopplers - X-Rays
etc ). I recovered very fast from stroke and went back to
office, but the real problem was blood circulation in my legs
and some more tests done, my doctor advised me to go for treatment
( vascular ) as this can not be done in Tanzania. I took information
from some hospitals from S/Africa and even Europe, which were
so expensive and I knew, I could never afford, as I have to
advance the money and claim later ( 75% ).I was desperately
looking for a solution.
A missionary Sister told me about India and
advised me to get in touch with Aarex India based at Mumbai.
They sent me all information about the hospital etc. I decided
to go to India, in the first place for the charges which were
very low, only 1/3 of S/Africa.
I left for India with my friend. We reached
Mumbai (Bombay ) at 3:00 am. We were received at the airport
and taken to the hospital and I had my first operation the
same day. Two more operations followed a few days later (
3 stents and 2 bypasses ). I had a beautiful room at the 5th
floor self-contained, television, phone, A/C and an extra
bed for my friend who could stay with me. We both were very
surprised and happy to see the perfect organisation of the
hospital itself.
As I have first hand experience of treatment
in India, I can only highly recommend the advantage of the
economical but also very high quality medical care and treatment
in India.

Farida K
( Female, 53, Spine surgery, October 2004 ) |
| India is a godsend for people
like me ……… who need good treatment, at affordable prices.
I am a woman of 53 years, when I had an accident
in a bus and sustained spine injuries. My doctors recommended
for the treatment to be done in India or South Africa. I was
asked by my relatives to choose between the two countries.
I proposed the treatment in India. Some of my colleagues opposed
my decision. I insisted that I would prefer India where the
medical costs are cheaper than elsewhere, and the doctors
are competent.
When I arrived in India on 9 October 2004,
by Air India, on a stretcher , after a month of the accident,
I could not feel anything from the waist down to my legs,
and I was unable to sit. I was operated on the third day of
my arrival of 11 October 2004. The operation took almost 7
hours. The second operation was carried out on 16 October
2004, for almost 8 hours.
AAREX India coordinated my entire treatment.
They put me in a fine hospital, found me a highly qualified
doctor to undertake the surgery. Dr. Zaveri, the neuro surgeon
and his medical team performed the two operations and I managed
to sit one week after the operation. I underwent physiotherapy
and managed my first steps with a walker in India. I received
very warm treatment both from the nurses and doctors in charge
during my stay in the Wockhard Hospital in Mumbai. My first
sitting and walking exercises were very exciting, as I had
to be told how to put my feet down and hold myself high in
order to control my legs.
Anything can happen and someone can start
to be toddler and be taught how to walk again. Although, I
had been walking for almost 52 years, and now here I was,
trying to walk again. It took me almost six months to walk
with support, undergo physiotherapy, and walking exercises
in order to strengthen my legs.
My recovery therapy in Tanzania took almost
six month of attending neurosurgery clinics and physiotherapy
which increased my ability to walk again. Thank God, that
I am well again and able to walk without using the spine belt,
hand clutch, or any other support. I can board a bus, walk
on my own and be back home without any assistance. I am back
at work now. Life has come full circle…..
Herewith, I would like to extend my warmest
hearfelt thanks to Dr. Zaveri, and his medical team, and AAREX
India especially Mr. Ramesh for all their support and encouragement
during my treatment in India. |

( Female, Orthopaedic treatment ) |
| I work at my coutry’s Federal
Bank and could have gone anywhere in the world for treatment.
I opted for India because my doctor told me about the medical
expertise there. Equally importantly he had heard glowing
reports about the humane and patient-friendly doctors and
nurses.
The treatment was outstanding and the prices,
amazing ! It was a very happy experience, in every sense.
I commend India as a wonderful place to get
treated in. Having lived in the US for several years, I can
say that the hospital in India compares well with the best
in the USA
In God I Trust !

Mrs Beatrice J K
( Female, 62, Cancer treatment – surgery, radiation and chemotherapy

27 September 2005 |
| This letter is to certify
the excellent services received by me from AAREX-India from
September 2004.
My mother is a sixty-two year-old who was
diagnosed with colon cancer in August 2004. We decided to
send her to India for specialist comprehensive medical treatment.
Like any new endeavour, this was a daunting
task due to the limited information the family had on the
medical options available in India. Time was a scarce luxury
but fortunately, a friend referred the family to AAREX-India
who were able to demystify the entire process.
Through their prompt and steady communication
channels, AAREX-India were able to perform the following tasks
on the family’s behalf:
· Identify a specialist hospital (Manipal
Hospital) in Bangalore, consultants and surgeons (Drs. Patil/Rauthan,
Shekhar/Zaveri, Sharma, Murali/Uday, Shetty and Dharmanand)
in India, to oversee my mother’s treatment;
· Provide brief recommendations on the treatment plan, time-lines
and indicatory costs
· Provide guidelines on India and cultural acclimatisation;
· Assist with securing temporary accommodation for the peripheral
chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment that my mother received
after being discharged from the hospital;
· Monitor my mother’s progress with the doctors and the family
on a regular basis and this still continues to date, over
a year after we returned from India !!
We commend AAREX-India and their team for
always fulfilling their promises to our family and for their
expertise in managing a complex situation
Kindly feel free to contact us through the
email addresses below if you should require any further clarification.
My mother has made remarkable progress and
her health continues to improve each day!
Yours sincerely,
Joy K.

(Cosmetic Surgery UK ) |
| From the moment we arrived
in Mumbai, the treatment that we received from Wockhardt Hospital
has been outstanding we were met at the airport by Bharat
who was a member of the hospital's public relations team.
He welcomed us and was very pleasant, we were then driven
straight to the hospital where we were very quickly and efficiently
checked in to our room.
There was no language barriers as everyone
speaks perfect English.
The accommodation we stayed in was better
than excellent, we were placed in a private room where we
had internet access, T.V and DVD and our own Refrigerator
stocked with fresh fruits, bottled water and fruit juices,
we also had tea and coffee making facilities and a private
shower room.
The hygiene level in the room was excellent
with the room being cleaned every day and clean sheets and
towels daily. We have found everyone from doctors and nurses
to cleaning staff always helpful and smiling and nothing has
been a bother. Bharat took us shopping and to a nice restaurant
on the first night and showed us some of the sights in Mumbaiwhich
was lovely. The food served has also been very good with daily
menus provided and help from a dietician.
Right from the start my procedure has been
fully explained in detail and Dr.Pandya who operated gave
excellent advise and explained everything before I could even
ask.
The aftercare has been outstanding with medication
readily available when needed. The total experience that we
have had from Wockhardt Hospital had been outstanding and
I would have no hesitation in advising anyone else to do it.
I am so pleased with the end result of my
procedure. |

Wanda Wheeler
( Birmingham Hip Resurfacing UK,
Wockhardt Hospital ) |
|
My Experience of Hip Operation in India at Wockhardt Hospital
on Friday 14th April 2006.
I came to India for my 2nd hip operation
after a lot of research by my brother on standard of care
and expertise.
We arrived in Mumbai and checked through
and immediately saw a man holding our name and the name of
the hospital and we were taken to a car who took us to the
hospital about half hours drive from the airport.
In the week that followed I was given all
the necessary tests and informed by the surgeon that he could
see no reason for me not to have a resurfacing which would
give complete recovery and preserve good bone, unlike the
1st operation which although successful only gives 90% movement
and would be more difficult to replace if it should not last
my lifetime! The resurfacing is a much more difficult operation
for the surgeon and much quicker recovery and less painful
for the patient.
The operation went ahead when I recovered
consciousness although my body was shivering with shock the
nurses were in blowing hot air to keep me warm.
I felt that I was receiving the best possible
care as I had all week and the feeling of relief and gratefulness
was difficult to describe. At Wockhardt Hospitals the expertise
and care is second to none. I am receiving lots of physiotherapy.
I like all the nurses and staff and I am confident that I
have had the best possible operation and a very positive experience! |

Rachael Arhagba, Nigeria
( Sister of Martins Arhagba, 26, Brain tumour)
|
| Doctors in Nigeria had been
treating my brother for over a year for headaches and fading
vision in both eyes. Earlier this year he lost vision in his
right eye and his left was fading quickly too. We located
Aarex on the net. Within 48 hours we had a likely diagnosis,
a treatment plan and immediate confirmations for surgery by
one of India’s best neuro-surgeons. The treatment was
superlative. The tumour has been removed and Martins has none
of the earlier symptoms…we are just praying that vision
will come back to his left eye eventually. The doctors have
done the most that modern medicine can..now it is God’s
turn.
